Patrizia Argenti, M.S., Ph.D.

The Department of Geological Sciences of Roma Tre University and the S.T.A.T Department of Molise University founded the Center for Evolutionary Ecology, whose venue is the Laboratory of Vertebrate Palaeontology of Roma Tre University. 

Aims and scope of this newborn center are the improvement of our knowledge of Evolutionary Ecology, Macroecology and Palaeobiology.

 

 

General informations

Born in Città di Castello (PG - Italy) in December/4/1966, Research Associate of the Vertebrate Palaeontology Laboratory of  the Univerità Roma Tre (Rome, Italy) from 1995 and at the University of Perugia from 1990. Research juniores at the IRRES (Istituto Regionale Ricerche Economiche e Sociali). Member of the S.P.I. (Società Paleontologica Italiana)Member of the AIQUA (Associazione Italiana per lo Studio del Quaternario) Member of albo of Umbian Research Agency (AUR). Teaching activities from 2000: Vertebrate Palaeontology, Scientific Museology, Palaeobiogeography, Archaeozoology modules for Natural Sciences Degree at University of Perugia. Since 1988 carries out palaeontological excavations in Umbria and works toghether the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici dell’Umbria for the designing of paleontological heritage.

Research interests

Plio-Pleistocene Biochronology of the Mediterranean area, Systematics and Palaeobiogeography of Murids, Archaeozoology.
