The Roma Tre University, established in 1992, is the youngest public university in Rome and is organized into 12 Departments. A dynamic, modern and international university that has immediately characterised as the vital lever of the capital‘s urban development, within which it is now deeply rooted, contributing in changing the city’s identity with a persevering process of restructuring and re-using abandoned industrial buildings, converting them into factories of knowledge and research.
Teaching and research, in all disciplinary areas, constantly interact and target a global world, thus promoting the upgrading and enrichment of knowledge; they combine their action with the third mission, considered both as technology transfer and as a projection of higher education activities on the territory.
The Department of Sciences (DOS) hosts about 90 faculty members from as diversified backgrounds as molecular sciences, geology, nanoscience, and biotechnology. DOS (https://www.scienze.uniroma3.it) has an interdisciplinary mission and it has recently been awarded the ‘Award of Excellence’ by the Ministry of Education. DOS offers 10 bachelor and master degree courses, three post-degree courses, and four PhD courses in biology, chemistry, physics and earth sciences. Key facilities include 17 fully equipped laboratories including molecular biology, systematic and applied botany, plant ecology and plant physiology labs, herbarium, electronic microscopy facilities.
The conference will be hosted in the main building of the Department of Science, located in VIALE GUGLIELMO MARCONI 446, 00146, ROME. See below for directions from the main airports and train stations.
HOW TO GET TO THE CONFERENCE SITE
