EFP gratefully acknowledges the Science Department of Roma Tre University for its support to the EFP2015 Meeting.
Please find below general information about the overall programme including our welcome cocktail, on-site registration, plenary sessions, symposia, oral and poster sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, social dinner, and events. We hope that the Organising Committee with the precious assistance of the EFP2015 Staff (undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate volunteers) will be able to provide you with a pleasant, stimulating, and satisfying Congress. |From Termini Station: take bus H (Dei Capasso) for 4 stops and get off at PIAZZA MONTE SAVELLO stop, then walk for 200 m.|
|From Ostiense Station: walk for 50 m to Ostiense/Matteucci stop, take bus No 23 (Clodio) for 7 stops. Get off at PIAZZA MONTE SAVELLO stop and then walk for 200 m.|
|From Trastevere Station: take bus No 8 (Argentina) for 6 stops, get off at BELLI stop and then walk for 100 m.|
On Tuesday, August 25th, from 7:00 pm, all participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to the EFP2015 welcome cocktail.
The welcome cocktail will take place in the vicinity of the Trastevere neighbourhood, on the Isola Tiberina, an island on the Tevere river, where the film festival “Isola del Cinema” 2015 edition is taking place, in the spectacular view of ancient Rome by night.

During the welcome cocktail, all participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to attend the screening of "The bearded capuchin monkeys of Fazenda Boa Vista" a scientific documentary by Elisabetta Visalberghi and Alessandro Albani, funded by Ethoikos Foundation (http://www.ethoikos.it/english.html).

Please, note that during the welcome cocktail, Congress attendees may already hand to the EFP Staff both items to be donated for the Silent Auction and also their printed photographs to participate to the Photographic Contest!
IMPORTANT: During Welcome Cocktail, All speakers who have been scheduled on Wednesday, August 26th, and did not mail in advance their power point presentation to EFP Organisers, are encouraged to deliver their slides to the EFP Staff.
Registration and information desk (questions, assistance, etc.) will be located in the Entrance Hall of the Science Department (ground floor) of Roma Tre University (Viale Guglielmo Marconi 446, 00146 Roma). The registration area in the Department building will open on Wednesday, August 26th at 8:00 AM.
Information desk will be available anytime throughout the Meeting days.
During registration time, Congress participants are encouraged to hand to the EFP Staff items to be donated for the Silent Auction, and Photographic Contest participants are solicited to give their printed photographs to the EFP Staff.
Coffee service will be provided twice a day during 30 minute breaks, in the morning (from 11:00 to 11:30 AM) and in the afternoon (from 3:45 to 4:15 PM).
Lunch/free time – You have 1 hour and 15 minutes to get your lunch. You have many different options at a walking distance from the Science Department Building, a typical Hosteria (a family run Italian restaurant), a self-service Restaurant, a Pizza shop (take a slice and leave!), a Chinese Restaurant, a Coffee bar, and a true Italian “Gelateria” (ice-cream!) as well. Congress attendees may click on the map above to find locations of all dining options.
The Social dinner will take place on Thursday, August 27th at 8:30 PM at the “Casa Internazionale delle Donne”, Via della Lungara 19, 00165 Roma, in the beautiful Trastevere neighbourhood.

Dinner will be served in the romantic courtyard of a historic building, and while you will be tasting delicious local food and wine, live music will entertain you.
The EFP2015 Organising Committe is proud to present an art exhibit of acrylic paintings by vietnamese wildlife artist Dao Van Hoang. We believe his artwork will bring a fresh touch to the conference atmosphere, inspire visitors and serve as language interpreter between the scientific community language and the general public's.
In collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute of Italy, the EFP2015 Organising Committee announces the EFP 2015 Silent Auction. Please, help us and bring along any of your primate-related items you are willing to donate to the auction in order to raise money for education/conservation purposes!
The EFP2015 Organising Committee is glad to announce the “EFP 2015 Photographic Contest” aimed at selecting the best three primate-related pictures among those that each EFP2015 participant will bring in order to enter the competition!! Congress attendees will vote their favorite picture during the meeting and winners will be announced at the end of the Congress.
On Tuesday, August 25th, during the welcome cocktail, all participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to attend the screening of “The bearded capuchin monkeys of Fazenda Boa Vista” (trailer) a scientific documentary by Elisabetta Visalberghi and Alessandro Albani, funded by Ethoikos Foundation. The screening will be replayed on Wednesday, August 26th, during lunch break in Room #1, and #2 via streaming (Scientific programme download).
The Istituto di Scienze e Tecnologie della Cognizione of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (ISTC-CNR) would like to invite congress attendees interested in the studies carried out with capuchin monkeys by the ISTC-CNR researchers to visit its Primate Center in Rome (see the website: http://www.ucp.istc.cnr.it).
The visit will take place soon after the EFP meeting, on Saturday 29th of August in the morning.
The EFP 2015 Organising Committee is glad to offer the possibility to all registered congress participants to visit the Bioparco di Roma with special ticket price from August 25th to the 30th. Please remember to bring the congress badge and to show it at the Bioparco ticket office… It will be granted a discounted entrance fee!

Science Department Master Student Luca Antonio Marino will exhibit in the Entrance Hall (Ground Floor, 0) a selection of his photographs shot in Brazil on wild capuchin monkeys. EFP2015 Attendees will be free to view the exhibit at their leisure from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon.
The outdoor ambient temperature during the day can be as high as 34°C, however Science Department building is air conditioned. In proximity to the Meeting days, please check forecasting at http://www.ilmeteo.it/meteo/Roma, where a little flag allows you to switch to the English language.
