1968 Master degree in literature at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza',
on sociology, supervisor Prof. Franco Ferrarotti.
1969-70 and 1970-71 Grant to study and research at the 'Luigi Sturzo'
Institute in Rome. Post-graduate course in sociology at the School of
the Faculty of Political Science at the LUISS University in Rome.
1971 Master degree at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in Philosophy,
supervisor Prof. Franco Ferrarotti.
1972 Assistant Professor habilitation in sociology of organisation at
the University of Padua. Researcher in moral and social sciences at the
Faculty of Literature and Philosophy at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'.
1974 Assistant Professor in Sociology at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'.
1978-79 Temporary Professor in Sociology at the University of Rome 'La
Sapienza' and then appointed in Sociology of knowledge.
1981 Habilitation in General Sociology.
1981-82 Visiting Scholar at the University of Berkeley.
