Member of the Teaching Board of PhD School in Engineering of the University of Roma Tre (2007-ongoing).

Co-Coordinator of European and International Student Mobility Programs for Civil Engineering (2011-ongoing).

Promoter for Erasmus bilateral agreements between the Department of Civil Engineering of Rome TRE University and several European Universities.

Supervisor for more than 100 Master’s degree theses and Bachelor degree theses related to: road geometric design, human factors and driving, driver behaviour induced by road alignment, cross-section and traffic, driver perceptions, design consistency, validation of the driving simulation as tool for road design evaluation, road safety assessment, work zone design, effects of pavement conditions on safety of powered two wheelers, driver performance using naturalistic driving data, effectiveness of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems in different driving conditions, interaction motor vehicle - vulnerable users (pedestrians and cyclists).

He has several teaching co-operations with European Universities and International Research Centers to develop Master’s degree theses and Doctoral Theses; in this context, he acts as Supervisor for visiting students and outgoing students.


Relevant Higher Education Teaching

Lecturer of the module "Driving simulation for the road design evaluation” within the 2nd SIIV course of Higher Education to the Research on "Road Safety” organized SIIV Italian Society for Road Infrastructures (2004).

Teaching activities in II level Master courses on “Road safety” and “Environmental assessment of transport infrastructures” (2003, 2004, 2007) at several Italian Universities.
