Lia Cigarini was an important leader of the italian feminism and she founded in 1975, with other women, the Libreria delle Donne of Milan. She is born in 1937 in
Milan where today she is lawyer. She shifted the politic of the left wing (Pci, il Manifesto, Udi) to be part of the first group in Italy of only women, the "Demau" (Demifisticazione
Autoritarismo
Patriarcale). She was engaged in the studying of the “autocoscienza femminile”, a practice of the psychoanalysis, and of the dialectic "conflict-relation"
as mediation between women and men.
