ANGELA ALES BELLO
First woman Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of Rome's Lateran University in October 1996. Her appointment was said to be a 'sensational revolution' as in the past the post had only ever been held by a man who was also a priest.
Angela Ales-Bello, the dean of the School of Philosophy of the Lateran University, is a specialist in Edmund Husserl and Edith Stein (1891-1942).
