The James Joyce Italian Foundation, JJIF was founded on May 26, in Rome, under the auspices of the International James Joyce Foundation and the Zurich James Joyce Foundation.

The Founding Board of Trustees is composed of:

• Rosa Maria Bollettieri Bosinelli
• Carla Marengo Vaglio
• Paola Pugliatti
• Romana Zacchi

Since the last AGM, 1st February 2008, John McCourt (Università Roma Tre) has been acting as the Treasurer and the sixth member of the Executive Committee. Therefore the new Executive Committee is as follows:
